Family visits to the Eyrignac gardens

The gardens at Eyrignac are a great place for children to observe and learn. Equipped with a compass, a magnifying glass or a telescope they are immersed in a world of plant life.  In these French-style gardens they will be able to see extraordinary topiary with geometric shapes – spheres, cylinders, cones, spirals – which the gardeners have combined to create spectacular shapes, but also charming small ‘green’animals in the ‘Garden of Water Sources’. To tell you the truth, we sometimes wonder if our gardeners don’t take advantage of the opportunity to release their inner child !

While the children explore, the parents can stroll along the shady walkways and enjoy a moment of tranquility in one of the most beautiful gardens in the French Périgord.

Free puzzle books are available all year round at reception which are age related for our young visitors, aged 5 +, 7 +, 13 +. At the end of the visit, the children are given a surprise gift.

Every Monday night during the summer the Eyrignac gardens are the setting for ‘Happy Picnics’. Fleetingly, the gardens revive the age old tradition of the outdoor party. Yes, it is indeed all about a party! Music, a picnic, dancing, water fountains, lighting, sunset over the Dordogne Valley, fireworks, bonhomie and hospitality.  Everything necessary for parents, children and teenagers to spend a memorable evening in the Périgord.

Every year, during the Easter weekend, the gardens of Eyrignac become an extraordinary playground. During an exciting egg hunt, children come to the aid of the Easter bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt is a fun, original and family activity.
